The Brio Beardscape V1+ is soon to be one of the top beard trimmers. As of early 2026, it has just launched as the latest generation of the Beardscape lineup. Brio has taken the best of their already great trimmers and put it into one package. The V1+ comes with the snap-guards included, and it now has USB-c charging.

I have been growing a short beard this winter, so I got a chance to fully test out the capabilities of the V1+.

A fantastic all-around trimmer, not just for beards. The snap-guard system, adjustable blade, USB-c charging, long battery life; the only trimmer you will ever need.

Performance

Comfort

The Beardscape V1+ is extremely comfortable while trimming. The motor is definitely powerful enough to get a clean cut. There was no tugging or pulling of hair. Just a clean trim.

Irritation

As expected, the trimmer left my face with no irritation. It cut hairs nicely on my neck under my beard, and it cut the beard hairs very well.

Snap Blade System

The biggest change with the Beardscape V1+ is the inclusion of the Snap Blade System. The various lengths of guards can snap right onto the snap blade head of the trimmer. I had no issues with the snap guards not holding in place. The magnetic connection of the guards is strong. See below for the lengths of guards available.

Variable Length Blade

The Beardscape V1+ snap blade is adjustable. It can be adjusted to various lengths between 1mm and 2mm. To be exact: 1mm, 1.3mm, 1.6mm, and 1.9mm. Combine the snap guards with the micro-adjust setting on the trimmer and you can have numerous different length options.

Brio Beardscape V1+ FAQs

Is the Beardscape V1+ waterproof?

No, it is not. It does include oil to lubricate the blades, and it includes a nice brush for cleaning the blades. However, it is not recommended for water use.

How does the Snap Blade System work?

The picture below includes a closer look. Notice the top of the trimmer (on the right), it has grooves on each side. The bottom of each guard snaps into those grooves. That helps hold the guard on tight and it help ensure the guard is straight. Honestly, these are a really cool feature.

Can the trimmer be used for more than just my face?

Yes, the V1+ can be used to trim hair on your face, head, arms, legs, back, intimate areas, and anywhere you want to trim hair.

How long does the Beardscape V1+ battery last?

It lasts 4 hours on a single charge. That is 240 minutes of trimming time. You may be able to go almost a year before it needs a recharge.

How does the Beardscape V1+ charge?

It charges via USB-c. It does come included with a USB-c cord, but you can use any USB-c cable. I love this feature because I do not enjoy searching for the specific charging cable.
