In 2024, Panasonic came out with a budget-friendly travel-sized shaver. They called it the Panasonic Swipe Right. I had to test it out and see how it performed.
“The Panasonic Swipe Right shaver is a high-quality shaver in a budget price. I was impressed.”

Panasonic Swipe Right Shaver
The Swipe Right offers a good shave in a travel-size. And in a budget-friendly price. For someone without a very thick beard, this could be an everyday shaver.
Panasonic Swipe Right Performance
Here are the results from my shaver test.
Closeness
I thought the shave was as close as expected. Probably as close or closer than any of the other budget-friendly shavers.
Comfort
Overall, the shaving experience was comfortable. Just remember to go slow with the shaver.
The only area of shaving discomfort occurred above the upper lip. I was moving the shaver too quickly and I could feel some tugging and pulling of the hair. So, when I moved the shaver more slowly, the tugging and pulling stopped. Thus, move the shaver a little slower and the shave is more comfortable.
Irritation
I experienced minimal irritation with the Swipe Right.
By The Numbers
- 45 minutes of shave time per charge
- 3 Cutting Surfaces
- 1 hour for full charge
- 39,000 Cross Cutting Actions Per Minute
Close-Up
The lid of the Swipe Right snaps on and off. It is a hard plastic cover, so it provides enough protection for the shaver to be thrown into a bag and you will not need to worry much about it.
The head of the Swipe Right has 3 cutting Surfaces. There are foil shavers on the top and bottom. Then between them is a trimmer for the longer hairs.
What is Included?
Surprisingly, Panasonic does not indicate “Swipe Right” anywhere on the packaging. The packaging calls it the Panasonic ES-CM3A shaver, which is a much less cool name.
In the Box
- The Shaver with lid
- A cleaning brush
- Small bottle of oil
- Changing Cord, USB-A to USB-C
- Documentation and warranty information

Here is the front, back, left, right, and top views of the box.
There was nothing significant on the bottom of the box.
Conclusion
Overall, I was impressed with the Panasonic Swipe Right Shaver. I think it makes a good choice for a travel shaver. For some people with thin or slow hair growth, it would work well as an everyday shaver.
