The Wahl Compact Shaver is a nice-sized shaver for traveling, but it does have some flaws. The size is small, but it struggles with some part of shaving. It may be the right shaver for you but read on for more details.
“The Wahl Compact Shaver is small in design. I would recommend it for an occasional trip where you need a single shave. However, there are better choices for an everyday shaver.”

Video Review of the Wahl Compact Shaver
I demonstrate how to use the shaver, and I cover some of my helpful tips for getting the best performance possible from the Wahl.
Performance
The Compact shaver performed adequately.
Closeness
It achieved a close shave for a budget-friendly shaver.
Comfort
The comfort while shaving was only OK. I did experience a few occurrences of pulling hair and snagging. It greatly helped to only move the shaver in one direction.
Irritation
The irritation was mid. I did have some redness for a few hours after and even some redness and irritation the next day. It was not very bad, but it was there.
What is Included?
Here is what is included:
- The shaver
- A protective cover
- A charging cord
- A small brush
Conclusion
Overall, the Wahl Compact Shaver would serve well as a travel shaver for a trip where a single shave is needed. It was not the most comfortable shaver, but it does come in a small size which is nice for travel.
Wahl Compact Shaver
Good for a single shave while traveling, but not a great choice for an everyday shaver.
FAQs
Is it waterproof?
The head of the shaver can be rinsed underwater, but I do not think the shaver is recommended for use in the shower.
How does it charge?
It uses the included Wahl charging cable. I do wish it charged with USB-C; I think that is more convenient for travel shavers.
